LinkedIn Learning FAQs

Why is a PIN required?
A PIN helps confirm that the library card holder is the owner of the library card. This process is designed to protect the patron and ensure that no one misuses their library card account.
What if I lose my library card?

If you’ve misplaced your card or forgotten your library card number, please visit your local library where a member of staff can reissue you a new card. Please bring ID and proof of address. There is a £1.50 charge for a replacement card.

After you’ve activated your patron account with your existing library card number and PIN, you’ll be able to access your Learning account and history, even if you don’t have the physical card.

If you are issued a new library card number after registering for LinkedIn Learning, your previous learning history won’t be available under the new library card number and PIN.

Can I add my learning certificates to my LinkedIn profile?

Yes! If you’ve connected your personal LinkedIn profile with your LinkedIn Learning account, one you complete a course you’ll be asked if you want to add the certificate to your profile. This helps you showcase your achievements and skills to your network.

There are step-by-step guides on how to do this (for both desktop and mobile) on the LinkedIn website.
